FLOATING ROOF STRUCTURES
Textile roofs and Inflatables
As part of the 2021 Space Experiments, the Floating University e.V. commissioned four textile roofs, two of them inflatable, which, in line with the local spirit, span freely floating over the terassed waterbasin. During a collaborative workshop we produced a sliding cushion, an inflated auditorium with an oculus, a reflective tent, and a water funnel. As part of the project team, we conducted the form finding and pattern design as well as detailing of the textile structures.
